Dr Orit Holtzman

Leura Wellness Director and Co-Founder

Dr Orit Holtzman practices functional medicine and is a TGA and ANZCCP-approved Authorised Prescriber. She is the Co-founder and Director of Leura Wellness and is the Co-Founder and President of the Australian and New Zealand College of Cannabinoid Practitioners (ANZCCP). Dr Holtzman is one of Australia’s most experienced authorised prescribers and educators and the 2024 Cannabiz Prescribing Healthcare Practitioner of the Year award winner.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology from the University of Tel Aviv (Summa Cum Laude), a PhD in neuroscience from the University of NSW and an MBBS from the Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney.

She has been passionate about integrative medicine since her parents used it successfully to treat her childhood asthma and she has always known she would like to practice medicine in this way. To that extent, she has undertaken the ADAPT training in functional and ancestral medicine at the Kresser Institute as well as additional training from ACNEM and AIMN. She is also a Recode 2.0 certified practitioner in preventing and reversing cognitive decline. She is a TGA-approved authorised prescriber for multiple indications and product categories.

Dr Sophia Lahz

Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr. Sophia Lahz is an experienced specialist rehabilitation physician with specific interests in chronic pain, stroke, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. She has worked variously on hospital inpatient rehabilitation units, as well as in pain management clinics, spinal cord injury rehabilitation services, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation services, and general rehabilitation outpatient clinics. She has found herbal treatments to be a very good “tool” to have in the treatment kit for patients who have difficulties with persistent pain, sleep, and anxiety. Dr. Lahz can assist veterans as well as injured workers (Workcover) and persons injured in motor accidents with CTP cover, who are seeking access to a trial of herbal alternatives to pharmaceuticals.

Lisa Dick

MANP Nurse Practitioner; Grad Dip Community Health Nsg; Grad Cert Continence Mgmt; RN

Nurse Practitioner

Lisa Dick has been a registered nurse for over 30 years, specialising in aged care, community health, urological conditions, chronic disease, pain and continence management. Lisa was endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner in 2016 after completing her Masters of Nurse Practitioner at The University of Melbourne. She has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in a variety of different settings including in both public and private health services. Lisa is an Australian College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) member. During her career, Lisa has been honoured to represent the ACNP as the Victorian Chapter Chair for a 2 year term. In 2021 Lisa commenced specialising in alternative health solutions for chronic illnesses. She has always had an interest in integrative medicine and since she was allowed to provide these treatments, there has been no looking back. Lisa enjoys every opportunity to attend and participate in educational events and presents at ACNP Conferences to her colleagues.

Lisa’s Consultations are also eligible for a Medicare rebate.

Christie Little

As a holistic psychotherapist, counsellor and coach, Christie has been working to support individuals through life's challenging moments and transitions for the past 15 years. Whether you are carrying grief or trauma, dealing with burnout, feeling stuck, experiencing anxiety, exploring your identity, find yourself in a difficult relationship, or are just completely overwhelmed, Christie offers integrative practical support and more importantly a safe, non-judgemental space for you delve beneath the surface while deepening your capacity to achieve an enduring sense of peace and wellbeing.

Christie offers an integrative approach towards healing and transformation that combines postgraduate studies in Holistic Psychotherapy and Counselling with professional qualifications in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), bereavement counselling, nature therapy, somatic coaching, Positive Neuroplasticity Training (PNT), wellness and nutrition coaching.

For over a decade Christie worked as an Executive Coach for some of the worlds best Management Consulting firms where she specialised in performance, resilience and leadership. Following the suicide of her husband Christie up-skilled as a therapist and have since dedicated herself to supporting others through their healing journeys.

She is a true asset to the Leura Wellness team.

Rob Engels

Rob offers a non-judgemental space for you to heal old wounds and discover an abiding sense of wholeness. From persistent depression, existential and identity crisis, addiction and grief, to deeper feelings of shame and abandonment, Rob will walk beside you knowing that beyond all wounds, diagnoses and labels, you are not broken.

In addition to postgraduate training in holistic psychotherapy, which supports body, mind and spirit, Rob also guides nature connection programs to rewild the human soul, empowering a deep discovery of what is fundamentally right about you. As a certified meditation teacher, Rob teaches mindfulness and the practise of self-inquiry, facilitating deeper self awareness, personal growth and transpersonal exploration. He is a trained facilitator of the Kiloby Inquiries method, a ground breaking, mindfulness-based approach to treating depression, anxiety, trauma and addiction, which now has intensive outpatient centres across the US. 
Rob is also co-founded of the Blue Mountains Men’s Group at the tail end of 2021.  

Tracy Scott

Clinic Manager

Tracy is a Graphic Designer with a passion and training in Pastoral Care and Counselling. She has been working with Dr. Holtzman since 2020 and has seen first-hand the benefits of medicinal cannabis for the hundreds of patients who have been treated. Tracy desires to ensure each patient feels heard and supported along their treatment journey.

Tracy is married to Steve (who occasionally acts as our office IT support) and has two incredible teenage daughters. On the weekends, she loves to share their joy of wood-fired pizzas in their backyard with family and friends.
